  How much taxes has the US mining company, Newmont, operating in Ahafo paid to the Ghana government since it started exporting tons of gold decades ago. I read that they were engaging in fraudelent accounting by reporting negative account balances to avoid paying taxes years past, and corrupt people in Ghana governments allowed them to get away with it. Should taxes mining businesses pay in Ghana supposed to be based on the anount if gold they take out of the country or their global earnings?
