  Contractors claims are always verified before reaching payment.
  The auditor general is not a quantity surveyor.
  The finance minister is only going to contribute to more layoffs of workers from contractors companies if they have no monies to pay them their already overdue salaries.
  Delays in auditing is double work for what has alreasy been verified and minister of finance will compel the courts to pay surely more interest on delayed payments why because more delays will affect already verified claims and piles of claims will accumulate .
  Besides quantity surveyors engineers and architects validation of claims which already delay payments the contractors will stop working for govt all together or will charge even in competitive bidding 20 times more because apart from their values getting eroded by the currency depreciation loans they got from banks to invest in the projects would be impossible to pay back without them also attracting Compound interest whilst courts would want to cheat contractors and pay them simple interest.
  Always casting a slur on professionals and their ethics is not good.
  Who said that claims are not verified.
  U want to audit fine no problem but be prepared to pay Compound interest from the day one to when Co tractors receive their payment.then no problem the projects too will be suspended till audits are completed and also not a pesewa will be invested by contractors only to be cheated .Time is money.
  The notion that all contractors and professionals in the construction industry are cheats must stop.
  Construction pioneer beers and others took ghzna govt to international court and got their monies with interest.
  Be prepared to pay in dollars and with full Compound interest. All projects for govt will stop. Simply because you want to do what took so long to be done and that's verification of claims.obviiusly you have no idea what contractors gk through before presenting their claims for their monies.
