  The narative MUST change. Ghana must develop the iron ore and whatever mineral we find. The colonial model of a foreigner must come and invest should be jettisoned. Ghana should employ the best in the world to run our mines and competitively reward them. This idea of an investor comes in and gives Ghana 10% while a politician gets 3% concealed share as happened when we started oil mining must be a thing of the past. Let us follow the Dubai model. Even China employs hordes of foreign architechts, scientists and engineers to work for them. For once, let us believe in ourselves.

  The comments by this organization suggests that Ghana has no intention to process whatcis essentially an iron-nickel ore deposit. But it is common knowledge that base metal deposits like this contains other minerals like copper and cobalt, even if they are less than 1%; and it is only a full beneficiation process that will extract the even more beneficial battery metals like cobalt.
  
  It will even surprise the analysts that there are very low concentrations of valuable platinum group metals in this deposit.
  
  Ghana, wake up and take ownership of these finds and stop mortgaging your inheritance to "so-called investors" and mine, beneficiate and get hold of all that is in this ore find.

  Can't we keep quiet small about our resources? We like to talk too much and too quick. We don't have the technology and perhaps the human skills to mine these minerals by ourselves now. Why are we telling the whole world about them? Let's leave them down there for a while and develop the necessary capacity to exploit these resources ourselves. We already have enough resources to improve our standards of living if we seriously and sincerely apply ourselves to their cost-effective development. We have enough arable land, water, sunshine, youthful population, etc. Let's rise up and work to improve our lots.
