In 2020 , I was not impressed so I didn’t vote at all. 2024 I didn’t vote . If NDC can bring the dollar to 10 cedi, I will vote for them in 2028 to further widen the gap they have the NPP

It gives an indication that the previous government indeed was doing so many ills which we suffered for . Because by even not doing “much” , the currency is stable .

Indeed fiscal consolidation doesn’t have “MUCH” to do with the fx . It does affect it by a long stretch but I doubt that’s enough to account for a big drop in the rate. Government would have to quickly hit the gas pedal in its plans to make the cedi strong. Now is the time

if those buying dollars believe this government means what it says then they will start selling to prevent further losses in the value of their dollars. thereby improving more supply than demand therefore resulting in further appreciation of the cedi.

Although I have not ever voted for the NDC since 1992, if they are able to work hard for the Cedi to sell at 6 Cedis to 1 Dollar, then I will advocate for their stay in power for the next 16 years or more.

Right now the dollar has been depreciating and the prices of commodities have been appreciating. Do you think any Ghanaian abroad who is doing a project back home and understands investment will send any money ? You’re joking masa. You need to make sure the decline in the value of the dollar matches a drop in prices , and also other foreign currencies must decline in value , otherwise expect less foreign direct investment in dollar value , low dollar remittances , etc. I will rather sell my dollar denomination in s different country. So what you guys are doing by continuously injecting more dollar in to the market and injecting less of other foreign currencies into the system when prices of commodities have not dropped but rather going up will end up pricing out those consumers with the dollar and that will have dire consequences on the economy in the long run. Let the forces of the market determine the value of the currencies . I’ll prefer that the dollar remain the same as it was , neither appreciate or depreciate to match current prices of goods and services otherwise some businesses which are vital for the economy will collapse.
