In order for us to keep the cedi in it place, we need to export more and import less. An economy that rely on import is going to be in the negative, and we haven't start producing industrially anyway in terms of major industrialization.So this government shouldn't lie about the cedi appreciation as it is they managing the economy better. My people listen to geopolitics, and geo economics, especially Prof Richard Wolfe, Prof Jeffrey Sachs and the rest, you will under how those at the top in the West still influence our economic activities.

So those dumb asses on this platform, reserves are secured to do two things to boast confidence and assist in intervention of the market. Now, about 30 tones of gold was accumulated by the end of 2024. This has been increased to 31 tones. Meaning the Gold reserved accumulated has not been used to intervene the market. So how is the reserves then helping to bring the currency up more than any other currency in the world. It gives you one answer, Ghana is selling more Gold than previous which raking in more than enough inflows to out way demand, hence the sharp appreciation of our currency. The government is intervening in the market in a different and smart way. The reserves that was accumulated in the past is just giving that comfort to intervene without being afraid of your reserves. And why are they selling more gold. Its because they have blocked all the slippages that hitherto led to smuggling. FACTS
