  KK. These importers will not lose in the long run because after selling the goods in cedis (which he will lose) they will get it back by converting the cedis to dollars to purchase the next batch. That is why in the reverse, when they buy good with old exchange rate and there is drastic upward change in the exchange rate they increase the prices of their commodities. Their reason, which is justified, is that after selling their goods they will need more cedis to import the next batch of goods.
