Let’s clear this up he actually does have a first degree in engineering. So the idea that he has “no experience” in mining is misleading. Sure, he may not have worked underground with a pickaxe, but he understands technical systems and has a solid foundation in engineering.
More importantly, leadership in the mining sector isn’t only about having worked in the mines. It’s about knowing how to manage people, resources, and policies effectively and he’s proven himself in those areas time and time again.
