  The cedi should be allowed to appreciate further at least to single digit as the president is suggesting 10 or 12 to a dollar is still high it should come down if we really want results

  The legislature should lead in changing the name. This name
  change is in the right positive direction to increase trade and tourism to our country and West Africa region.

  Even with old stock, prices must still be reduced because it is the cedi which has appreciated in value and importers will need lesser cedis to buy dollars to replace the stock.
  When the cedi was depreciating in value, holders of old stock were increasing prices because their argument was that they will need more cedis to buy dollars to replace the stock. So it works both ways.
