If we are serious as a country and seeking to be self sufficient in poultry production it shouldn't take us more than two calender years to achieve that goal.. we only have to be bold and ambitious enough and put the necessary measures in place to realized that.. it is as simple as that.. but the corruption and deals with importers that's the problem..
And one other issue is that of feeding which depends on a productive agriculture base and here what we have to do is anchor the whole sector on large scale commercial farmers suport and resource them to expand their farms, replicate same across the country to produce at full steam at cheap prices.. this is how we can produce enough thru government support to feed our population, for our food security/storage, process some by promoting industrialization, and have enough to support our livestock farmers poultry and piggery.. that is the way..!
