WHY IS GHANA STILL REPAYING IMF LOANS AND OTHER DEBTS WITH HEFTY INTEREST WHEN WE HAVE 32.99 TONNES (33 THOUSAND KILOGRAMS) OF GOLD RESERVES?

A PIECE OF 999.9 FINE INVESTMENT-GRADE GOLD BAR WEIGHS 12.5kg AND SELLS FOR MORE THAN £1,006,833 TODAY.

SO GHANA'S RESERVES OF 33,000 KILOGRAMS OF 2,640 PIECES OF GOLD BARS WILL BE OVER £2.7 BILLION (2 BILLION, 7 HUNDRED MILLION POUNDS STERLING).

SO, WHY IS GHANA STILL POOR AND BANKRUPT IF OTHER PRODUCTS EXPORT REVENUES AND DOMESTIC TAX REVENUES ARE FACTORED IN?

Give us the numbers from 2023! NPP, under a Bawumia initiative, increased the reserves from 8.78 tonnes to 30+ tonnes that they handed to the NDC. NDC has only added 2 tonnes so far and possibly using the rest to stabilize the cedi.

The question is how long will they be able to sustain their political game of artificially pumping up the cedi? Especially as the US economy starts to heat up and dollar value goes up?
