The government doesn't sell kenkey. If the price of a bag of maize has dropped and your kenkey seller refuses to reduce her price, Govt can't do foko.

The kenkey issue is worrying, I don't understand why sellers have refused to reduce prices, reduction in price should reflect our general life and not transport fare only, whoever's responsibly it is should speed up

@Joe Hackson, you have being in Ghana long enough to appreciate the dynamics of our economy, you should know by now that Kenkey is made from corn which is grown locally and is seasonal; unless we get to the point where we can plant very large acreage of corn and store for the off season we shall continue to have the price of Kenkey at a certain level. Years ago our population was much lower, there wasn't much of the rural urban migration so we had lots of small small farms all over the country so we could get Kenkey at 50 pesewas. We have a new government in place it is up to them to support the agrarian economy for us to buy Kenkey cheaply.
