The move will give shea farmers lower price, like COCOBOD steals at least 20% of their income. You are welcome to start a processing plant, but you have to buy nuts to free market price, not force farmers to sell to you.

Like the other idiotic monoplies, like COCOBO and GOLDBOD, the move will diminish production and increase smuggling. It's really a stupid, Venezuelan type policy that will hurt Ghana.

I hear the Chinese are equally buying the African locust bean ( Dawadawa) in its whole pod form. If this is not curtailed, we would lose our authentic cuisine in the next couple of years
