    It’s was 18.8cedis per dollar in 6th October 2024 on Bloomberg. If not intervention by ORAL team from 7th December to 7th January, cedis would have crossed 20cedis to $.

    We all know what the rates were. It was almost 18 cedis to the dollar at above 21 cedis to the BP. We can cross check from the net. It's not difficult to do

    Ghana is only enjoying from the Tax War of Uncle T with its trading partners, that have affected the global Mkt severely influencing the value of the USA Dollar. None of our ineffective govt policies is a factor.

    This fact check is not right. The minister said "previous records". And is true it happened. What the minister didn't say is that was the value as at the time this government took over. So what kind of fact checks is this?

    The interbank rate for June 2024 was 16.83 gh to 1 USD, which is approximately 17 gh to a dollar.
