The ongoing dualisation can rather be expanded from two to three lanes each way. A fresh motorway would not be needed if the railways can be constructed.

Just look at the freedom of traffic on the Nsawam and Nkawkaw bypasses and no one will tell you that the best use for the money will be for the railway, to drastically reduce the heavy traffic and long vehicles on the Accra-Kumasi road, and give further freedom to the rest of the vehicles.

5. Side road leading to towns and villages must be paved constructed a minimum distance of 500m to reduce the accumulation of debris fragments m side earth road unto the highway.
