We haven’t seen anything yet! Ecuadorean farmers get 90% of the world price of cocoa. In Ghana, we get 70% officially. But if you take into account John maamah’s artificial exchange rate, we are not getting even 60%.

I have a 90 acre cocoa plantation. I can say confidently that no farmer’s child wants to be a cocoa farmer. And why should they?
3rd position is good. Enjoy it while it lasts. It won’t be long that Ghana will not rate a mention! Shithole country run by crooks!

Our gov`ts over the years continue to cheat and rob our farmers which effectively makes cocoa farming an utterly discouraging venture in Ghana.
Smuggling of some of our cocoa to Ivory Coast goes against us, all because of poor and low pricing by hugely corrupt Ghana gov`ts.
