  There is a vast variation between "Gold for Oil" vs "GoldBod" if you care to know. Gold for Oil was never about nationalizing our resources but to sell it to some person of no credibility. Given if that is was his handiwork, did it lead to a stabilization in the economy (visa-vis reduction of petrol and diesel, exchange rate and inflation)? There is a wide gap between "sloganeering" which has little or no value vs "achievements" that come with rippling effects in enhancing the economy.

  Gold for oil was just a barter trade to exchange gold for oil, nothing more.
  Goldbod on the other hand is a company that is the only entity allowed to sell buy and sell gold and make sure the sale is repatriated to Ghana.
  Even this is not enough. My maxim is as follows;
  ALL AFRICAN GOVERNMENTS MUST TAKE ABSOLUTE CONTROL OF OUR MINERALS AND EXPLOIT THEM FOR OUR OWN DEVELOPMENT INSTEAD OF GIVING IT AWAY FOR FREE!
  It is only the government that can engage in responsible mining. Any other entity will not provide the basic necessities, water, roads, schools, hospitals. Their only objective is profits.
  DIHOC in Ghana should be the only entity to extract our gold and other minerals.
