Goldbod does not buy galamsey gold. But assuming without admitting that it buys galamsey gold, has ghana not benefited from the export proceeds of this gold? Is it not better the proceeds from such exports come to ghana than to the foreigners who smuggle the gold? Is it not better than suffering the double jeopardy of environmental degradation and lost foreign exchange? What at all do some of you want for this nation?
