The cedi has slipped cos the US has adopted a policy called "Hawkish" and this is what has led to the slip.
The cedi is not the only currency experiencing this slip. In fact all the major currencies are also experiencing the effect of a Hawkish policy. But this policy is only a temporary direction since it has its negative side and it is expected that the US will have no option but to alter this policy which will eventually restore the gains to the Cedi. Policy managers know this and it is not necessary to panic
