  Was the $8 billion dollars that was spent shoring up the value of the currency an intelligent decision to make when some Nurses and Teachers haven't been paid their salaries for 11 months? Was it an intelligent decision to spend that amount of money when contractors abandoned their work for not being paid for work done? $8 billion could have been used to construct dual carriageways from Aflao to Elubo plus from Accra to Kumasi to Tamale and Kumasi to Sunyani. It could have also financed a modern high speed electric rail system including at least 4 electric trains from Accra to Kumasi to Tamale. If Tanzania succeeded in constructing 440 km of such rail system from Dar El Salam to Dodoma at a cost of $3 billion with ultra modern train stations in 3 cities why can't Ghana do the same instead of wasting such huge amount of money just for propaganda purposes to let Ghanaians see NDC is better at protecting the Ghana cedi than the previous NPP government. Spending that huge amount to protect the Ghana cedi is equivalent of fetching water in a basket. Ofori Atta did it one time during their administration, and it never worked so why repeat a failed scheme. Instead of taking measures to cut down on importations of products that can be produced locally, they rather did the opposite by canceling the one district one factory policy the previous government started. A bunch of stupid people who just refuse to use their brains.

Whether the government is paying contractors or not, whether Afenyo Markin or whatever the spell is name throwing dust on our eyes or just doing dirty politics, whether Kennedy Agyapong will go to central university to give another speech or debate. We need the opposition to come and explain.
