I find it interesting that citizens jump straight to accusation of corruption and xenophobia as soon as misfortune occurs to a foreign owned company. The important thing is the authorities have acted swiftly, they have to assist affected people with appropriate compensations and ensure corrective measures are taken by the company. These actions enhance investor confidence in the country, including local investors.

Authorities have acted swiftly you said??? Really?? This disaster shouldn't have happened in the first place, if not for the fact that we have fools in the helm of affairs in this country. Those engineers at the assemblies and not there for decoration purposes. All they know is collecting bribes and allowing criminals to build anyhow. Most time buildings are raised without permits and yet it would be completed because of bribes. Sometimes building drawings are done long after projects have been completed without permits. Engineering drawings are supposed to be approved by the assemblies before building is commenced, and even in cases where this is done the engineers at the assembly is supposed to supervise the entire construction process to ensure the right thing is done, most especially when it's a public or commercial building. Look I'm a structural engineer and a contractor, so I know what I'm talking about. This is pure negligence of duty on the part of the assembly

My final question: are there no African/Afro Shops in some cities in China? The other time, I watched a YT video of a Ghanaian in a Chinese city, who has opened a traditional Fufu Chop Bar, serving over 700 people a day. What about that one?

The fact is that, if you satisfy their strict regulations, you can open any shop in China, if you want. But you should know that, if you don't have huge capital, you won't succeed there, since you cant compete with the native Chinese in business.
