  The Ghana shippers council outlived its usefulness ages ago. It is amazing instead of abolishing it, it was turned into a shippers authority. It serves no purpose. Instead of having to share the funds with the useless shippers council, the charges imposed on cargoes should all be given to the Ghana Maritime Authority to help fund the important task of maintaining maritime security, overseeing safety of navigation, prevention of marine sourced pollution in Ghana's maritime domain.
