Until the gold is actually sold that loss would be a book loss. The main concern is whether the gold is purchased at inflated prices. An audit report will throw more light on the matter because now it looks like those commenting do not have the technical background to understand what exactly is being discussed so even the professionals struggle to get it exactly so a little guessing is being done
