  JM cannot tell us he doesn't know what former head of state Kutu Acheampong did in situations like this. He ordered massive trucks (Saurer) from Switzerland and attached them to the State Transport Company (STC) to cart food from remote areas to the cities. He snubbed the IMF and World Bank and went on to produce food with his Operation Feed Yourself policy which was a huge success.

  Oh yes, I remember those trucks. Huge machines that could stand bad roads with STC markings on them. The food would be deposited at vantage co operative points around the country especially our cities. Wow! I wonder what his main crime was? He built Dansoman, Nungua and Kwadaso estates and never took one for himself. At the time Rawlings executed him, he had only his salary in his bank accounts. When his wife went to London, she lived in council flats. So why did Rawlings do that to him??
