  Switch to global news channels like Bloomberg, BBC, CNN, DW and you'll read / hear that oil prices have jumped.
  Note that apart from the fact that Iran is a prominent member of the OPEC, it has blocked the Strait of Hormuzs, where about 20% of the world oil vessels pass. The natural sequence: drop in global oil supplies resulting in increase in prices.
