President John Dramani Mahama is set to unveil Ghana’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy at the Labadi Beach Hotel on April 24, 2026, outlining a bold vision to position the country as a leading digital innovation hub in Africa.
The strategy is expected to guide investments in digital infrastructure, support startups, and promote research and development in artificial intelligence, while creating new opportunities for Ghana’s growing youth population.
The President is expected to highlight the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in driving economic growth, improving public service delivery, and enhancing productivity across key sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, and education.
The National AI Strategy will provide a roadmap for building the necessary infrastructure, developing local talent, and fostering innovation through strategic partnerships between government, academia, and the private sector.
