Ghana should be very careful handing our resources to these Ghanaian entrepreneurs who collapsed banks and have turned their attention to mining. The collapse of state gold mines in the 1980s and lessons learnt should guide us into the future.

Why don't you strictly apply the relevant laws if you are indeed serious about this? Or is it because he is not an Akan as the name implies and so he has to be treated differently unlike Chairman Wontumi? Pls let's be a little more serious in galamsey fight wai. Also, why are you concerned about the workers of the company? In certain jurisdictions, they are all culprits. They have responsibility to ensure that, whatever they do in the company are in line with the mining laws or they are held for the violations if they neither failed to resign nor report the wrongdoings of the company to the relevant authorities. Companies will exist only by names if the purpose for which they were established are not executed by humans therefore, human beings in a defaulting company are not supposed to be absolved from blames. They are the executors of the wrongdoings.

Sometimes, the act of our leaders tells us they are deliberately taking political action towards a certain group of companies, how on earth do you people ( minerals commission) tells us that the company is destroying water bodies why galamsey has already destroyed everything in this Country and it’s still going which the authorities have turned blind eye to that because they’re benefiting from it. We are waiting for the collapse of the mining companies in Ghana.
