  All goldmines used to be managed by the State Gold Mining Corporation (SGMC), the most corrupt government agency Ghana has ever had.
  
  Under the SGMC none of the goldmines from Konongo through Obuasi to Tarkwa ever made any profits and many times couldn't even pay their workers.
  
  Is this an era we want to revisit as a country? HELL NO!
  
  Government MUST not own any mines in Ghana.

We need to learn to walk before we run. For 60 years we cannot even build a duel carriage road from Accra to Kumasi so let’s stop all the noise and learn how to do things well before we create another mess.
