  Let them stop the tribal wars to experience more development. Apart from agriculture, I understand the region also has large deposits of gold.
  To harness these resources, there is the need for relative peace to enable gov'ts to build the needed infrastructure.

The capital of the upper east region is pushing for an airport. As an indegine I beg to differ. Paga airstrip if converted to an airport can service Bolgatanga, Bawku and Walewale. Lets be serious as a country and develop other areas.
