This fine idea which created jobs for numerous citizens for several years and produced large quality rice and vegetables have been neglected and large portions of the farm lands have been sold for housing units. People have manage to put up buildings along the periphery of the canal, several plot pillars have been erected within the remaining farm land which means that sooner or later houses will spring up. I urge authorities to wake up and ensure all those structure within the catchment area are pull down to protect the canal and the farm

I was there sometime ago with well established agric offices, a modern rice miller. Ghana is an indiscipline nation, a waster. JJ Rawlings came and stripped him of his military general title and made him a persona non grata not to be referenced in Ghana. Somewhere along the line it appears his titles were restored. A reliable source to confirm this. The AFRC accussed him of many trump up charges including putting up a big mansion in Lome which was never proved. It appears this will be the big uncompleted border post at Aflao border till date.Ghana and lies.

Arthur, oh YES, Kutu Acheampong comes directly after Kwame Nkrumah. His National Redemption Council was to redeem the image of Kwame Nkrumah's legacy. That's why he managed (which is on record and can never be achieved by any other leader) to give Ghana 53 percent of our natural resources. Why did Rawlings admit that he was forced at gun point to include Kutu Acheampong to the list of those who were executed by firing squad. Kutu Acheampong used that money to build Dansoman, Nungua and Kwadaso estates and even managed to buy a Peugeot 504 for EVERY certified doctor in our major hospitals. He snubbed the World Bank and IMF and started state farms along with this very irrigation project which was no more operational due to the same World Bank and IMF pressure. For the NDC to claim that Mahama comes after Kwame Nkrumah is NEVER possible!! The president of the World Bank for instance can call JM even if he's on top of his wife and he will stop and take instructions!!

My late uncle said so many good things about Gen. Acheampong and that no leader in Ghana can be compared to Kwame Nkrumah apart from him. His name that was added to firing squad was a punishment for the big percentage he got for Ghana. Rawlings is gone. He had a case to answer as to why he agreed to drastically reduce that 53 percent all the way down to 10 percent and was later dropped to 5 percent. It was reduced to 1.5 percent under ex president Kufuor. Am told Mahama has raised it to 3 percent to justify his Anan Papa Aba slogan. It will take a miracle for any leader to get Ghana 10 percent.

Rawlings and NDC with all the loans and still taking loans cannot show Ghanaians any sensible and meaningful things on the ground.
