Firstly, please stop using the expression "paying bribes", the correct term is "extortion by officials"!
Secondly the biggest extortionists are CEPS/GRA. For imports 1,000 Cedi extortion is a minimum, duties are claimed to be much higher, as much as 70% of the combined cost and transport. This is unjustifiable and detrimental to both State and individual!
