Just enter any bank in Ghana early in the morning and around 3pm and see some of these "abochies" entering the bank manager's office with some school bag behind them and the walk straight to the manager's office. Tell me what exactly are they going there to do? Your guess is as good as mine. Ghana paaa bi this?

Whether GoldBod buys gold at blackmarket rate or at the official exchange rate,they still sell the gold,not in Ghana but on the international market.That is profitable business indeed.They actually buy the gold cheap in Ghana and sell it for a higher price abroad.If not so,why did the same GoldBod go into business in the first place? Didn't they say that they are in business in order to shore up the Cedi? And the Cedi is now stable because of GoldBod? If GoldBod is making losses,why is the Cedi stable?
