So far a transaction in a trade is carried out in another currency and has to be accounted for in the local currency, there will be what is called foreign exchange loss/ gain. In so far as the Ghana cedi fluctuates most often not in favour of our currency, there will be a foreign exchange loss?
But to just take FDI to against this loss is disingenuous. What’s the relationship between the 2 ? None!
Why do you not weigh the loss against real financial gains and social benefits accruing to Ghana, prof?
Pone example is to say, if Ghana could even have qualified in the 1year to have gone out to borrow $10Bln and at what interest rates and cost?
As professionals it would be helpful to rather educate the ordinary minds to facts and resort to linguistics and taking unhelpful and non progressive comments
