  I was on a flight two months ago to Accra, since a sociable person introduced myself to some cute guys sitting beside me lol. During our conversation i found out that there were a group of them on the flight to Accra from Poland to the oil field they said was in Tarkoradi to go and work. According to them to go and come back every two months or three to Poland and back to the oil field to work.
  This explains that our leaders have indeed given our oil field away to strangers and had left the citizens of our motherland unemployed with nothing!! What about our Timber, this Gold money they brag about where does it go to and what does it do??? Unpaved dusty roads and garbage disposal, serious sanitation, electricity and safe drinking water issues everywhere one goes to in Ghana. The group of UK boy band, One Direction, who are also one of the world’s biggest groups for their negative remarks about the country during a recent trip.   The issue of who controls our natural resources is key to understanding the poverty to which One Direction referred.
  
  We need to be discussing how we will exploit our resources for the benefit of all our people. This should engage the attention of our politicians, opinion leaders and the media. Let us stop the petty squabbling over diversionary issues and work towards taking control of our resources.
  
  We must be mining our own minerals, extracting oil ourselves, building our roads and undertaking all major projects ourselves in 10 years' time.
  
  We have the people and expertise so to do. Let us rely on ourselves instead of allowing foreigners to exploit our resources all the time.

  This is our downfall our chiefs keep selling Ghanaian lands for their personal gains. Remember since unemployment is high in Europe a lot of Europeans unemployed will end up in Africa for Jobs, other dubious activities since our immigration system is useless. Prof. Busia eradicated a lot of these folks when he came into power due to land grap from greedy chiefs.
