  why do we believe people will be entice to pay taxes?
  In the US and other countries people are eager to pay taxes because at the end of the year they have something to take back. There is absolutely nothing without tax because people no the value, parents used even school fees to fill tax, but in Ghana you are just paying, paying, paying without a direct benefit. How can we be enticed then?

  Surely, the tax laws and old and some taxes are not justifiable. Importers of high fuel consumption cars are paying penalty eventhough fuel is not subsidized anymore at the birth of the NPA, which adjusts petroleum prices in agreement with world prices. Tax payment on some imported cars is more than the cost of the car itself. Tax collectors enrich themselves with tax income at the watchful eyes of the Government.Government will not need to broaden the tax net but will also need to ensure that taxes paid get to the government for the well being of the country. The policy maker must also know that when taxes are exorbitantly high ,tax payers find avenues to evade the taxes or stop doing business.

  THE ONLY WAY TO SUCCEED IS TO COMPUTERIZE ALL BUSINESSES,GOVT PROJECTS,FINANCIAL AND GRASS ROOT ACTIVITIES TO ENSURE ACCURATE RECORDS AND REPORTING.

  The president should pay tax as he is not working for free. It is beyond reason why our presidents have tax exemption status and I dare those who inserted that clause into the constitution to explain that to me.

  We tax too much almost everything that comes into the country making business very expensive at the end of it all consumer and the larger public suffer higher cost of living. Iam sorry to add our Politician just dont care..
