Resources are not but they become. If we have water we must make use of it.we must do and environmental Impact Assessment and explore mitigating procedures that will enable us to use water to generate electricity. We must manage the environmetal effect of the consruction of the hydrodam so that we can make maximum use of the water our natural resource. I will write and article for the president consideration. The Tema Oil refinery is another source of generation of cheap thermalpower. The authorities at the TOR are very much aware of this fact. They must be challenge to generate power for the country instead of consuming what the country is generating.

NDC IS NO MORE THAN AN ORGANISED CRIME ORGANISATION FORMED BY A BUNCH OF GUYS WHO SAW POLITICS AS A MEANS TO BECOMING FILTHY RICH.
THESE GUYS ARE RAWLINGS THE MAN WHO PREACH THE GOSPEL AND YET REFLECTS RICH AND WEALTH.
RAWLINGS KEEPS TELLING US HE IS NOT RICH, YET AS WE ALL KNOW HIS ANONYMOUS FOREIGN ACCOUNTS DOES NOT PLAY ON HIS CONSCIENCE FOR HE HAS NO CONSCIENCE.
YET RAWLINGS KEEP CREATING THE IMPRESSION OF A MAN WHO IS CLEAN. THAT CANNOT BE POSSIBLY TRUE.
FOR ONETHING THERE WAS NO ACCOUNTABILITY UNDER RAWLINGS FOR TWENTY YEARS.
NEXT, IS THE TSIKATAS CLAN THE PEOPLE WHO RAN THE NDC NOW AS JJ POWERS HAVE WANED OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS.
NDC AND JJ PATCHED UP THEIR DIFFERENCES FOR THE SAKE OF THE 2012 ELECTIONS AND NOW THAT THEY SEEM TO HAVE OUTMANOEUVRE THE PEOPLE AGAIN WITH THEIR GOSPEL TRUTH POLITICS OF TRIBALISM FOR VOTES AND CORRUPTION IN POWER, GIVEN THE POWER STRUGGLE IN NDC WE WOULD SEE FOCUS OF THE SHITING ONCE MORE TO INNER POLITICS WHILE THE STUPID GHANAIAN VOTER IS LEFT TO THEIR MISERABLE CONDITION.

After 4 years of inaction its finally dawned on the NPP government that we Ghana needs to be building more power generating facilities. In 2009 they stupidly shelved all the plans and programs on energy from the Kuffuor government.
This included commission of a completed 125MW station Osono. This power station after 4 years of political machination is now owned by SSNIT, government having forced its NPP owners into bankruptcy, yet the station is still not on line.
MY advice to the Mahama administration on power generation is that he quickly tasks his Minister responsible for power generation to ensure that a minimum of 400MW of new generating capacity with the requisite fuel source are commissioned every year starting in 2014.
The fuel source is very critical and since government is not in a position to pay for said fuel it should leave that to the private sector and focus on making sure that supplied electricity is paid for by ALL including government agencies, government officials and the public at large.
Action not platitudes is what is need at this juncture. My fear is that the Mahama led NDC government will once again fall short.

Ghanaians should thank President Kuffour's foresight for this Bui dam which someone is boasting for its achievement. Bui dam has been on the drawing borad since the colonial days; yet it too the vision of President Kuffour to make it happen. Like the oil which someone said it was a gift from God and not the foresight of any individual. But this oil has been on the ground in the high seas of Ghana since the world was created; and it took the vision of President Kuffour to make it happen, yet some one thinks no one deserves praise for it. God has given eveyone conscience and that conscience should be applied for the betterment of the citizenry and not those who never labored yet enjoying the labor of others. We need visionary people like Kuffour to rule this nation who can move it forward instead of backward. Thank you, President Kuffour.

The VRA must be told that it is not the regulatory body for power in Ghana. That is why the Bui power is also an authority of its own so that we can see how inefficient the VRA is. If the government makes mistake and give Bui to VRA to run. Then the energy crisis would continue till thy Kingdom come. What Ghana need is Power ministry, a power regulatory body before VRA, BPA, Thermal Power Authority and other being private come in. By doing this, would bring competition and efficiency. The ECG broke into regional power companies for efficient managment. So VRA shutup you have been making noise since 1983. We are fed up.

It appesrs Nigeria is playing politics with the West Africa gas pipeline. Or is it corruption?
This project has taken so long to complete and supply us with the gaas we need to power our thermal plants. There is always some problem with the supply of gas from Nigeria, so we have to buy expensive oil to fuel the thermal plants.
President Mahama should discuss this with Goodluck Jonathan and impress upon him the urgent need to resolve the problems with the pipeline to ensure that gas flows to our plants.
If the problems are not resolved expeditiously, we will continue to suffer 'dumso' for the rest of this year.
