  These are four simple steps the government can use to bring budgetary deficits lower in the short to medium term. 1. Stop subsidizing housing allowance for all public officials. 2.Reduce subsidization for energy use.3 Improve the tax collection system and if possible levy heavy fines on tax avoidance. And finally, reduce corporate tax rate in mining sector to encourage new capital investments in the country.
