After Hundred years of mining they are even lucky to have any minerals left. Obuasi should be like Johanesburg by now. It does'nt even have a polythechnic, not to mention a public University. What a serious Crime in our life time!

  After hundreds of years of the criticisms of the environmental and social impacts of mining, Toni Aubynn just wised up to the depradations of the mining industry. Where has he been to , to have missed the deprivation of land, the deterioration of biosphere resources, and the denial of community self-reliance?
  
  It is not too late to get together with his predecessor to craft a vision for Ghana's mining sector. But first they have to conduct an environmental impact assessment of all of Ghana's mines.

  Is this man realy serious? is he not the same person who was praising the mining companies and how acording him, the copanies have improve the environs where they operate just some few weeks ago? is it that this time he did not receive his 10%? I wonder if these bodies like chamber of mines, minerals comision, EPA,etc even know the comunities in which mining companies operate and the problems they face due to mning? You are all corupt and hypocrates.You cant even task these companies who are looting us with the huge amount of minerals they take from us to even fund the repairs of roads that leads to these helpless comunities, come to my town New Abirem in the E/R and see how newmont is polluting us and deterioting our road from Nkawkaw, spoiling our water bodies and others. God has mercy on you people. Recently Joyce Aryi also wrote simila tin, wen she was on the seat she did not see dat.. hmmm
