  The logic is you cant pit a fledgling team like Accra Hearts of Oak against Barcelona FC. The play field would be tilted against us.
  
  The govt should implement a policy that levels the playground in order to make mother Ghana productive.

  Why shouldn't the Chinese do it? Our leaders have taken and are still taking bribes and kickbacks from these Chinese to dump their products and services on Ghana so that, they can live the lavish lives we see them displaying with impunity all over the place. They come to the podium and charm us with their stupid slogans and $ 5.00 gifts promising us heaven when they know it is hell. We get caught up in all their bull shit talk and refuse to see their underlying schemes to enrich themselves. To be honest, there are times when I think the ordinary citizen should wake up and corner these fools and give them a dose of a real kookooase whipping one by one to send a message that we mean business. Ghana belongs to all of us, not just them and their families. If they're going to take the bribes, they must as well share it with us. It's time to put a stop to all their nonsense and take the governance of our dear country serious. If they can't protect us from foreign invasions and disrespect, why do we all the time give them the mandate to govern? Let's kick out all the old politicians and bring in the young ones who will think Ghana first.

  I find Mr. Okoh's remarks very nfortnate. The incompetence of ALUWORKS is responsible for the situation. Which part of ALUWORKS operations does Mr. Okoh want the Government to save? Are they able to prodce enough circles for say that part of the industry involved in manufacturing cooking and household utencils? I know for a fact that the answer is no.ALUWORKS has some kind of monopoly in that area and they want to take their cstomers hostages , increases prices arbitrarily and sometimes connive with the big companies in that segment of the industry to even kill the small scale business by some stpid demands for huge deposit.Is that lawful or morally right? The fact is that Ghana is practising an open market economy and they must make themselves competitive and stop crying woolf. Those who will loose their jobs if the small scale aluminium companies fold up are far more that the ir 5000 workers who they cant even pay well. industries

The fact is this, low wages and subsidies make chinese exports (imports in this case) cheaper and competitive . It means any measures taken on behalf of Aluworks , would have to be expanded to include all other goods and manufaturers! In any case it is not only China who is guilty of such "situations", the USA, Britain , Germany, Japan, S. Korea etc. all fall into this category of Nations who surpress the growth of our local industries!Some countries even pay Ghana by way of "foreign aid" and "grants" in order that they do their "own thing" in Ghana! NOBODY SHOULD COME OF THE IDEA OF BLAMING ANY PARTICULAR GOVT FOR THIS SITUATION- CPP,PP,NDC,or NPP ALL ARE GUILTY OF THIS "WAHALA"!!!

  We need a government that will use the purchasing power of the state to support local industry and entrepreneurs, to expand and be able to create jobs for our youth. If Aluworks goes down 260 will lose the livelihood and a number of small companies depending on Aluworks will also fold up, and China will be the beneficiary. Sometimes it is good to be selfish if it means putting yourself out of harm’s way. And we are rapidly heading towards an abyss if our leaders continue to behave like ostriches.
  
  The PPP is the only party in Ghana today that has the leadership that is bold and pragmatic, and ready to take the bull by the horns, with the desire to bring about meaningful change to Ghanaians in general not a few foot soldiers.
  
  Awake for Ghana. Be Progressive. PPP all the way.

  Why should President Mahama become the spokesperson for a private man. I think this is quite strange for the sitting president of a country to lobby for the dreams of a private man to become reality. If a private man is sponsoring this trip to Israel, he should be allowed to speak for himself. Or is the president doing his own propaganda because his people have goofed? He should be ashamed of himself for allowing his people to use government money to sponsor people to pray. If he says he is a Christian, then he should know that God is everywhere and answers prayers regardless of where. A believing christian does not need to go to Israel to pray for President Mahama to remain in power. God is watching and His will is . N.D.C party is fooling Muslims in Ghana with Hajj sponsorship. There is no where in Qur'an that Hajj must be sponsored. HAJJ is from the heart and those who can make it. We must be careful in Ghana. Frankly speaking, i don't think this Mahama guy is capable of solving the kind of problems we have. We are facing a serious problem with basic water, light, gas etc etc and all this man called our president says the gov't is ready to opt out in facilitating a trip to Israel by pastors. Is this a bribe or once more reinforcing the notion that pastors and politicians are bedfellows. This blatant disrespect of Ghanaians MUST stop. I thought with Mahama, Ghana at last has some fresh air but with these kinds of decisions, i wonder if the president understands the enormity of our problems and has the capability of solving them.
