What you are saying is one of the causes of inflation - that is, "more money chasing few goods" resulting in higher prices. However, there may be other causes of inflation as well, (lifting of gov't subdidies on petroleum) which is the case in point as stated by the Statistitian as follows:
"....attributed the trends to the recent hikes in prices of petroleum products as well the increase in prices of some essential commodities."
Please be careful in your utterances because the whole world is reading your post.
