At the price of USD 1,600 per oz it means export revenue of approximately USD 6.7 billion was generated. A good leader must ask where is the money? And ensure that the industry is restructured so that substantial part of this amount is available to support our cedi and the economy. An adaptation of the cocoa industry structure should be considered.

The greedy mining companies which have continued to exploit us from the colonial era. They would not even pay the modest windfall tax proposed by Dr Duffuor.The tax was put into abeyance, while the leeches continued to suck us dry.
We must be wise, and look to exploiting our mineral resources ourselves.
