What should I say of you, Honourable Terkpe ! a visionary, a radical, a revolutionary or a clairvoyant? It is worth observing that after political independence, no one african country has even suceeded in getting closer to the threshold of economic independence (of course no country is in the true sense of it) but for quite a long time now, the continent of africa with its vast untapped resources has been tied to the apron strings of her colonial masters and the USA. Needless to say that most african leaders including Dr Nkrumah, Sekou Toure and others have been murdered for their foresight into the geopolitical dealings with the black continent. Africa is the hub of the economic life line of the developed world, this is never in doubt, but where are the leaders to stand up against the might of the western world. As evident, china is making a timely effort to play a game of mutual gains with africa and this has resulted in branding their technology and products defective. It is much better to deal with whoever would give you fish now than whoever promises you meat in the future."Exploitative" I like that word and wished all African leaders do too. I have just read from Koaci.com ,the tentative effort being made by president Putin of Russia to join China in their quest for economic adventure in Africa. This has rather struck a fatal blow to the exploiters and I bet, they are scheming to sabotage any such move. Africa should wake up ! Mr Terkpe lead the crusade of economic emancipation for Ghana and for Africa and you will go down in history as the man who foresaw , foresaid and forewarned. Long Live Ghana and love live Africa

There should be a moratorium on all new oil explorations, until a better mechanism is in place for Ghana to own a larger share of the oil. Cameroon began negotiations with a COMPULSORY 20% shares, before further negotiating for more shares, royalties and taxes. Cameroon earns close to 70% of the oil drilled in that country. Ghana shamefully earns less than 30%.
Check the book below: Ghana can take a lesson from Cameroon on the negotiations, and take a page from Malaysia on Resource Management.

African states should exploit our own resources. There is enough management and professional people in Africa to do the job. AFRICA MUST UNITE!
