I agree with you. A Ghanaian would have been a better choice. You people have sold all your inheritance to foreigners what a pity.

We have been cheated for far too long!
The multinationals, in particular Anglogold, have been exploiting our resources from the colonial era. They have made massive profits to our detriment. They will not even fulfill their tax obligations, so that we get a share of these profits. They have kicked against the windfall tax, and prevented it being implemented.
We must set up our own companies to exploit our mineral resources ourselves. We have the skills and experience so to do.
Let us stop awarding any more licences for mineral extraction forthwith, and review existing licences.

Guys be careful and analytical when providing comments. Please be informed that Sam Jonah was once the top character at the helm of Anglogold Ashanti. He is Ghanaian and Ashanti. What did he do for Ghana and that matter the Ashantis. He supervised the construction of housing units that look like chicken coops for the company’s middle and low level workers. He proudly named the complex after himself – it is called Sam Jonah Estates. Visit the rooms and you will definitely hold back tears. Because Sam Jonah helped the company save money by downsizing the project because the Ghanaian worker is branded as “anything goes”. That is, whatever you give the underground mine worker is good regardless of his or her family size. Sam Jonah now owns and occupies a castle on top a hill looking down on the poor mine workers. The mansion can accommodate 30 families of 3. A foreign CEO could have done better for the poor workers than this Ghanaian. Go to look at the streets and drainages in Obuasi and you will get story better. Pardon me to add this: if Ghana is given to a foreigner or the ‘white man’ Ghana will be a middle class state in 5 years.
