ALLOW IMPORTERS PAY THEIR DUTIES AND OBTAIN RECEIPTS IN OVERSEAS BANKS IN GHANA GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTS. WHAT THEY NEED IS TO USE SUCH RECEIPT TO CLAIM THEIR PRODUCTS FROM THE PORTS WITHOUT PAYING CORRUPT CUSTOMS.

  I shake my head. Does this government really know how to build a strong economy? Will they ever deal with the real issues? They are talking about increasing taxes on businesses which they believe will solve their problem. ...

  I shake my head. Does this government really know how to build a strong economy? Will they ever deal with the real issues? They are talking about increasing taxes on businesses which they believe will solve their problem. Don't they realize the cyclic nature of their solution? Revenue is down due to poorer-than-expected revenue generation from businesses. By taking more, will this make sense?
  
  The government needs to set conditions for businesses to grow...so they make more money...and can pay more taxes.
  
  Why doesn't the government look at reducing their own costs. 70+% of the government expenditures is on salaries. What business could survive with that cost...And what level of productivity are we getting from the public sector? The government can expand the tax base but they also need to look at how they spend their money
