Ghana needs Israel to learn from and expand Economic ties with. Our mutual growth would be enormous. To those who uses religious reasoning only to either justify or reject our increasing ties and cooperation with Israel I would like to say that, in the very least, we have to evolve along with changing times. Life must be livable within any religious precepts. And our exemplary cohabitation with all practitioners of the various religions offers us a unique advantage to be friends with Israel and her Islamic foes among others. In that position we could be the little stone bridge over which Peace could flow to these old enemies. Providence has a way of using the smallest cog to fix huge problems in our Earthly sojourn.

Long live Israel!!!

What we are realizing with the constant firebreaks are evidences of systemic breakdowns, overcrowding, constant and yet randomized load shedding and crass incompetence and lack of sight by the useless political party ruling Ghana today.

These fools never ceased hounding Kufour for everything and now when are embroiled in any crisis they are the first to shout "don't politicize it". Fools taste your own medicine.

Oyokoba, you are on a different topic. But your overcrowding angle for nailing down the causes and difficulty in controlling the Market Fires is very apt for consideration.

I returned from a trip home a few weeks ago and one of the most striking observations that have been taunting me since then is the overcrowding at the big Markets. I could hardly walk through some of the alleys in Kejetia Market, for example, when I went to see some of my nieces and other friends who trade there.

I think our officials don' t care abt the safety and health of our folks and think only abt the number of stalls that can be squeezed in every spot.

No wonder the fires spread too fast and the Fire Service has problem to reaching them to control.

How could you call people like these ones friends to learn anything from. They can only teach you if they have your interest at heart. Then after teaching you, you may not need them therefore, they can't get your minerals for almost nothing.
On that note, they won't teach you nothing.
REAL Knowledge is like a war, you have to fight for it. And for 56 years, we haven't being doing nothing about it because we want some one to come and give it all to us free, but sorry, it won't happen today or tomorrow if we don't fight for it.

Fellow Citizen, I assure you that I am no stranger to all the points you alluded to. We have long been licking our wounds and brandishing our "machetes" at these Western Nations and their allies. Surely, the relics of colonialism and inhuman regard for us still remain among some of them. But we would not win any real freedom if we continue the same belligerent paradigm with them. They are not sitting idle for us to swallow them up. Rather, they have shown some intention to re-align, facing the advancement in and movement by China. We have to think smarter to make the best out of those strains on their psyche.

Besides, Israel was very genuinely friendly with us during the early part of Nkrumah's reign. She knows who in Africa she could forge solid relations with. So , we have to embrace her gesture to rekindle our constructive mutual ties. We should not shun her.

It is the complex Palestinian issue that dampened our ties, thanks to the Cold War in which we got entangled in by proxy.

Now things are in a flux and we need to navigate shrewdly to stay well afloat and advance with the leaders. We cannot keep fighting the colonial wars to win our Economic freedom. We must take what we need with smiles to encourage the giver to give more.

The struggle must continue but with emphasis on lasting bridges through acquisition of healthy ideas. It is not by brawn but by brains that we can break the chains for good.

I work with MATIMOR the JEWISH STATE inter global investment gear and keep on complaining of their attitude towards Africans .
