  Where were you when Ghana organised a 2 day mining summit in Accra last week. In fact, I was surprised to realised there was no presentation on environmental damage, looking at the extend to which large scale mining companies in Ghana have adopted surface mining. I have seen how bad our ecosystems and forest have been destroyed by Goldfields, AngloGold Ashanti, Newmont, Golden Star Res. etc. We should not be afraid to condemn the destruction by large scale mining companies in Ghana.

  Not untill we as a nation put up some structures in our institutions backed up by abled bodied personel with the basic understanding of the effects the environment has or likely to have on our social, political and economics ...

  Not untill we as a nation put up some structures in our institutions backed up by abled bodied personel with the basic understanding of the effects the environment has or likely to have on our social, political and economics lifes,we will have nothing to come back to.
