  These payments would eventually end up in the pockets of the collectors, the result of "official corruption" in Ghana. I am surprised the proprietors have not bribed their way out!

  Where would the proprietors come by monies to pay up their tax liabilities,huh? I think a better approach is to haul them to court and probably send them to jail for failure to file and pay their taxes.Locking their business ...

I think a better approach is to haul them to court and probably send them to jail for failure to file and pay their taxes.Locking their business up is placing undue hardship on the employees who have nothing to do with their employer's irresponsibility.The actions of the GRA is like cutting one's nose to spite their face.

  There are many out there who are not paying taxes. most officials from GRA go to defaulting companies to rather collect bribes. Check the IT companies in Accra. some owe hundreds of thousands. go for those monies! go to the a ...

  There are many out there who are not paying taxes. most officials from GRA go to defaulting companies to rather collect bribes. Check the IT companies in Accra. some owe hundreds of thousands. go for those monies! go to the airport area, they are riding big cars but not paying taxes! a word to the wise, GRA boss!

  Our taxes are the highest as an underdeveloped country,as a result most Ghanaians cannot pay their taxes.Less taxes and tax education will encourage more people to pay.
