I almost fell off my chair when i read how the minority failed to back their claims with statistics. In Ghana no one ever cares about the truth/facts/statistics. Both gov't in power and opposition in power only engage in a media circus where they throw insults left and right about each other.

Shouldn't the gov't provide facts about the economy - current inflation, unemployment. Can they even tell us WHEN water will start flowing regularly.

Opposition doesn't do any better either. Ultimately, I blame press/journalists. These are the people who should rise above politics and be more interested in the facts. No, all they want is another juicy story about a political rant.

The professor is spot on and does not need statistics to prove for example the instability of the erratic water and electricity supply amongst other listed concerns which are of common knowledge in Ghana. His remarks must be taken serious and addressed. Playing party politics on such issues is stupid because at the end of the day it is the citizens who suffer.
