  But when they use statistics and figures wrongly, then there is a problem.
  The taxes and vat they claim to have paid to Ghana government are actually tax monies paid by traders which were handled by GIFF. Theses were NOT monies generated by GIFF.
  If GIFF members are to tell the truth, they should declare how much they made truthfully as income, and pay the appropriate income tax, then they can come and boast about their REAL contribution.
  Ghanaians would not be gullible.

  What needs to be done is that customers of Ghana's Port must be given the choice to use the services of the GIFF or represent themselves. At the present the process of clearing goods through Ghana's port is deficient. Ghana must trade its way into prosperity. Go to GPAHA website and examine this proocess. Mr Carlos and Mr Boampong cannot tell me that they are not of the knowledge that this process was delibrately design to put the state's monies in private pockets? What is a 'tax certificate' as demanded by the GPAHA'. The GRA, GIFF, MINSTRY OF FINANCE, MINISTRY OF TRADE, ACCOUNTANT GENERAL AND THE AUDITOR GENERAL have come together to design a system that puts the states monies in private pockets. BNI oversees this fraud. If not so why would govt seize cars from cleaners and give them to civil servants? Or why should one pay GHC 3000 to a clearing agent as Agent fee just to clear one 2 liter diesel eng. car through Ghana's port?. How did the IRS managed to calculate the profit on goods in the container and charged tax on the profit before issuing the tax clearance certificate to newly formed limited liability company? This is not what our independence is for.
