  This could be one of the new debt-trap to sustenance farmers. Ever since we evolved from hunting and gathering to agriculture, farmers have always owned their seeds.
  Many newly developed crops like 30Y87 cannot be re-used as seeds by the farmers after harvesting, so they have to depend upon the Seeding companies every planting season?
  How come farmers are becoming patient and pharmacists, or manufacturers and patent holders.
  Our small-holding farmers needs to control their seeds as it has always been. Food security is too important that, the state should not be held under ramson by any multi-national company.

  30Y87 is a Genetically Modified Corn seed manufactured by DuPont subsidiary DuPont Pioneer. GMOs are banned in Europe. Ghanaians beware.

  How did this company manage to smuggle this GMO seed into the country? How come? Please government must find the answers. This is not the time to toy with our food security with all the great efforts that the CSIR has exerted in developing high-yielding, high-protein and drough-resistant crops for the country. The government must beware of the tricks of this multinationals. They know how to take you by surprise through the backdoor.

  these are not GM seeds, can be replanted only that pollutes the purity. u may not get the 100% yield recommendations but higher than local seeds. moreover GM seeds require higher fertilizer input and can also fail when plante ...

  these are not GM seeds, can be replanted only that pollutes the purity. u may not get the 100% yield recommendations but higher than local seeds. moreover GM seeds require higher fertilizer input and can also fail when planted. these seeds do not fail when planted and require same amount of fertiliszers. these seeds have been produced the same way we produce ordianry seeds and are therefore far better than GM seeds. we should say no to GM seeds but pioneer is not a GM seed.

  I think it is only wise that the structures put in place to study these things come out to educate us on these things with proven tests, especially when more 19 countries in Europe have banned GM crops.
