What gov't needs to know is that it is running this country in trust for the people, so therefore take time to ensure the country benefits rather than selfish personal gains to the detriment of the nation.

These people would not have raised any issue if the contract is with GNPC and a foreign company. It was the same people who prevented KOSMOS from selling some of her shares to GNPC and instead want it to be sold to ESSON. It is the same group of people that are against the cultivation of rice and breading of guinea fowls so that they would keep on with the importation of rice and chicken parts into the country.
So when will these people protect the interest of Ghana. Machinery for exploration of crude oil and gas is on the market for everyone to buy and Ghana has the requisite manpower to explore and bring the product from the bowels of the Earth.

Here is another reason why I keep saying Mahama and his NDC government is corrupt:
“Our investigations shows that AGM Petroleum Ghana firm has no evidential record of raising as much capital as may be required for exploring and developing of Ghana’s deposit oil block (South Deep Tano block of about 3,000 metres depth) and again ill-experienced in deepwater exploration,” it said.

The petroleum bill as we speak is not before parliament, and has not even been passed, so how can Ghanaians ensure that, they are getting value for money? Parliament should not shirk their responsibility to the masses and exhibit their corruptness, as espoused in the GII report and survey, but rather, they should ensure that, the rights and benefits of the citizenry are protected, from this oil resource and not our corrupt politicians and their cronies.

Though pedantic, the Title of the Report should have been "Think Tank" and not "think tank". Let's get the basics right.
